Rainbow and sky; I want to try
I want to try
to be a rainbow,
a sky with no clouds.
I want to try
to make my life a poem.
I want to love,
I want to breathe.
I want to see life and love in every bit of it.
I want to breathe it in, savor the beauty of the world around me.
Rainbow and sky,
I want to try.
To love and be loved,
To admit my mistakes.
To live life with no regret,
To feel the sun on my face.
I want to try
the rainbow and the sky.
To find a new way of living.
To be free of my fears.
I will not live in sadness, but in love and joy.
Rainbow and sky
I want to try.
I want to live.
I want to feel the wind in my hair and the sun on my face.
I want to dance with strangers at midnight and fall asleep in each other’s arms.
I want to run through fields of wildflowers, and watch the clouds roll over the moon.
I want to see the world through new eyes, so I can see it for what it is: beautiful, messy, intricate—a place where every single person is unique.
They are all interconnected by something larger than themselves: love itself!
Rainbow and sky
I want to try!
