Lesbian Visibility Week (April 20–26)
Originally founded in West Hollywood in 1990, this week has grown into a global movement to ensure that LGBTQIA+ women and non-binary people are seen, heard, and celebrated.
2026 Theme: “Health and Wellbeing” – This year’s focus is on protecting the mental and physical health of the community amidst global challenges.
What to Expect: * West Hollywood (WeHo): As the “birthplace” of the week, Expect Pacific Design Center and the West Hollywood Gateway to be illuminated in the colors of the lesbian pride flag.
- Events: A series of film screenings, “Dyke March” history preservation talks, and networking mixers are scheduled throughout the week, culminating in International Lesbian Visibility Day on April 26.
- Global Reach: Major landmarks in London, Sydney, and New York will also participate in lighting ceremonies.
