Mumbai, April 20, 2026 – The iconic duo of Akshay Kumar and director Priyadarshan has struck gold once again. Their latest collaboration, Bhooth Bangla, which released on April 17, has revitalized the horror-comedy genre in Bollywood. After a stellar opening weekend that saw a massive Sunday collection of ₹23 crore, the film’s total domestic earnings have already crossed the ₹60 crore mark.
Critics are praising the “Vedas and Mahabharat” inspired plot, blended with the slapstick timing of veterans like Paresh Rawal and Rajpal Yadav. While industry trackers predict the usual Monday dip, the film is comfortably on track to hit the ₹100 crore club by the end of the week. Wamiqa Gabbi and Tabu’s performances have also been highlighted as fresh additions to the classic Priyadarshan ensemble.
