Experimental Dining: Nila, SOL 55, and 403 Forbidden

Bengaluru’s food scene has entered a new era of specialization:

  • Nila (Cambridge Road): Chef Rahul Sharma (ex-NOMA) presents a 12-course Nagaland-inspired tasting menu. Highlights include Black Rice Momos and Smoked Naga Pork served with bhut jolokia chutneys. It’s refined, intelligent, and highly sought-after. (Dinner only; INR 4,550+).
  • SOL 55 (Koramangala): A community-focused bar that prioritizes conversation and craft cocktails. It’s the current “it” spot for a relaxed weekend evening.
  • 403 Forbidden (Indiranagar): A Nikkei-inspired bar (Japanese-Peruvian) on 12th Main. Known for its Torched Salmon and Nikkei Lamb Chops, it offers a high-end, futuristic dining atmosphere.
