Change is the only constant.

At every second, minute, and an hour we experience changes. A lot of them! Some for good and some bad. Some make us a better person while others serve no purpose. Often these changes have the power to turn our lives upside down. Something similar to what we experience growing Up.

Everything seems easy as a child because we don’t have to worry about anything as everything is taken care of. However, as we grow up, enter our teenage, things change. We’re suddenly allowed to make small decisions about our lives while the major ones remain the prerogative of elders. It’s a rebellious phase when we start questioning our own worth and all the boundaries set by our family and society seem stupid (which may be true in some cases). That’s the very first time we experience self-doubt.

By the time we leave high school, we enter the most intriguing and also the most chaotic time which is known as adulthood. Life is so messed up yet so exciting. We feel both nervousness and enthusiasm in the starting years. We get to decide how our life will be and what should be our priorities. The feeling is amazing. There are multiple times when we get confused or overburdened with thoughts yet we somehow manage to find solutions. We face dilemmas every now and then.

Adulthood is scaring. We’re empowered with the authority to take necessary decisions and actions which could change our whole life. But that’s where the fun  lies,  right? I bet most of us wouldn’t have it any other way.

I am one of you guys and everything I said is damn relatable according to me. But you know what kept me from freaking out?

Well, scroll down to find out.

Here are a few tips to help you sail:

Believe in yourself

A well-known fact which is way underrated. The life-changing dilemmas do create self-doubt but there’s just one thing that can keep us going – simply believing in ourselves. We gotta trust ourselves with the fact that we’ll choose what’s best for us. Always give yourself the benefit of doubt!

Regret

We frequently see ourselves or others regretting their decisions later. Well, let me get this straight, you won’t achieve anything by that. So, Stop regretting! It’s easier said than done I know, but not impossible. We could Either learn from the experience, be cautious and move on OR keep dwelling in the past. This time the choice is actually ours!

Be Yourself

Going with the flow isn’t always made for you. Sometimes you gotta be the aeroplane that takes off against the direction of the wind. Be who you are and do what you want despite all odds. It’s a risk worth taking!

You’re important

Always think of yourself first. How your decision will affect you and will it do any good to you? Will you change for good? Think about these before wondering about the outcome. Your first priority should be you. Because Your Happiness Matters. YOU MATTER! Yes, it’s necessary and no it’s not wrong to look out for yourself. They may call you selfish, but, who cares? You certainly don’t!

Don’t be too hard on yourself

Don’t force yourself to do something you don’t want to. And please never keep blaming and criticising yourself. If something happens or happened because of the decision you took or the choice you made, it’s okay! Don’t let it define you. Cause You’re Amazing!

If not for these helpful tips, I’d literally be running on the streets and yelling like a madwoman.

Just kidding!

These pointers proved to be useful and I hope these help you too. Good luck!

With love,

Priyanka 🙂
