Great news for travelers! Uttarakhand has taken a big step towards improving regional connectivity with the launch of a new air service between Pithoragrah and Delhi. This exciting development was announced on Thursday by Uttarakhand Chief Minister Pushkar Singh Dhami.
The new service, operated by Alliance Air, promises to significantly reduce travel time between the two cities. Previously, the journey by road could take up to 15 hours. With air travel, the trip will be a breeze, taking just around an hour.
This move is seen as a major boost for the border district of Pithoragrah. The improved accessibility is expected to not only benefit residents but also attract more tourists to the region.
The service is set to take off on April 1st, with flights departing regularly from Delhi’s Indira Gandhi International Airport’s Terminal 3 (T-3) and arriving at Pithoragrah’s Naini Saini Airport. An official release confirmed that tickets will be priced at around ₹7,000.
This launch marks a significant step forward in connecting Uttarakhand’s remote areas to the rest of the country. It will undoubtedly be a welcome change for both residents and visitors, offering a faster and more convenient travel option.
