RCB Crushes Delhi Capitals in Record Time

The Indian Premier League 2026 season just witnessed one of the most one-sided matches in its long history. Royal Challengers Bengaluru completely dismantled the Delhi Capitals in a performance that people will talk about for years. It was a night where everything went right for the Bengaluru side and everything went wrong for Delhi. The match was over so quickly that fans who arrived a little late to the stadium missed more than half of the action. From the very first ball, RCB showed they were on a mission to dominate.

The bowling unit, led by veteran Bhuvneshwar Kumar and Josh Hazlewood, was simply too much for the Delhi batters to handle. The ball was swinging, the pace was uncomfortable, and the Capitals had no answer. Within the first few overs, the scoreboard looked like a nightmare for Delhi fans; they lost wickets in clusters, sitting at a shocking 8 for 6 at one point. It was a masterclass in modern fast bowling. However, the biggest story of the night was a massive personal milestone for the legendary Virat Kohli.

As he walked out to open the innings, he only needed a few runs to reach the incredible mark of 9,000 career runs in the IPL. He did it with a classic cover drive that raced to the boundary, making him the first player ever to reach such a huge number in this tournament.

The chase itself was a blur of boundaries. Chasing a tiny target of 76 runs, the RCB openers did not waste any time, finishing the match in just 6.3 overs. This win gives RCB a massive boost in their net run rate as the tournament heads toward the playoffs. For Delhi Capitals, this is a wake-up call. They will need to figure out how their batting lineup collapsed so quickly if they want to stay in the race for the trophy.

For the neutral fans, it was a display of pure power and a reminder that when RCB is in form, they are almost impossible to stop. With Kohli in record-breaking form and the bowlers firing on all cylinders, the rest of the teams in the IPL should be very worried. This match proved that in T20 cricket, momentum is everything.
