In his rape trial, the Manchester City defender, Benjamin Mendy, is said to have informed one of his alleged victims that he had slept with 10,000 women.
According to testimony presented at Chester Crown Court on Thursday, the 28-year-old Frenchman boasted to the victim after raping her in his bedroom and taking her phone from his Cheshire house.
The woman claimed she thought she had been locked in the room after Mendy told her she could not leave and promised to give her phone back if she stripped naked. She was the first of seven people to go to police to accuse the player of rape or sexual assault.
Benjamin Mendy is accused of eight counts of rape. He is also accused of one of attempted rape and one of sexual assault.
The jury at Chester Crown Court heard testimony from a woman on Thursday who said that in October 2020, Mr. Mendy raped her three times and left her bleeding.
The “hardest thing that makes me angry is how many times I said no,” she continued.
Another complainant, who was 24 at the time, claims that the football player grabbed her groin over her clothing on January 2, 2021, when they were at a party at his house.
Mr Mendy, who denies all charges, is on trial with co-defendant Louis Saha Matturie, 41.
Mr Matturie, of Eccles, Salford, has pleaded not guilty to eight counts of rape and four counts of sexual assault.
Both men stated that any sex they had with women or girls was consensual.
Trial continues.
