Soulful Storytelling: Dastan-e-Guru Nanak at Oddbird Theatre

For a complete change of pace on Sunday evening, the Oddbird Theatre at The Dhan Mill Compound is hosting Dastan-e-Guru Nanak.” This performance is a beautiful blend of history, theatre, and the ancient art of Dastangoi (storytelling).

  • The Narrative: Performed in a mix of Hindustani, Punjabi, and English, the evening traces the spiritual journeys and hymns of Guru Nanak. It focuses on his message of “Oneness” and his encounters with people across different lands.
  • Why It’s Special: Oddbird Theatre is known for its intimate, warehouse-style acoustics. There is no “spectacle” here—just the power of the human voice and a shared spiritual connection. It’s a perfect “reset” before the new work week begins.
  • Timing: Sunday, April 19, 2026. Doors usually open 30 minutes prior to the performance.
