Ubiqoutes hunger strike in Iranian prisons

Six women who are detained in the political ward of Evin Prison joined a hunger strike by political prisoners in Iran. According to the published news, Alieh Motalebzadeh, Hadith Sabouri, Rezvaneh Ahmadkhanbeigi, Zeinab Hamrang, Shakila Monfared, and Giti Pourfazel will go on a strike along with other political prisoners. There will be a three-day hunger strike which will start on April 1, accompanied by a group of ideological and political prisoners in Evin, Fashafoyeh, and Adilabad prisons in Shiraz. The statement released from 34 political prisoners, including six women, stated that the hunger strike was to protest against the ruler’s tyranny.

It was also emphasized in a message by Kasra_Nouri, beaten and released from Evin Prison on Friday and deported to Adilabad, Shiraz, that despite this violence and harassment, he will participate in a large-scale hunger strike on April 1. Neglecting human lives is one of the characteristics of the criminal government of the Islamic Republic. The Islamic government is directly responsible for endangering prisoners’ lives and health, which has caused many prisoners today to protest the failure to meet their demands and deprivation of primary human resources. While condemning the Women’s Revolution’s crimes, calls on all the international community to boycott the Islamic Republic and demand immediate attention to the physical condition and immediate and unconditional release of political prisoners and activists in prison.
