Brutal killing of fuel porters in Iran

The United Nations has requested for immediate internet connection in Baluchestan of Iran as soon as possible. The United Nations says about 23 people have been murdered in Iran during the riot in Sistan and Baluchestan province and called on Iranian officials to connect to the Internet to cover up protests immediately. Revolutionary Guards and security forces killed these poor people who carried fuel on their back to make a living. Firing on the Baluch minority and protesters of Sistan and Baluchestan province was condemned by the united nations. Internet disruption made it difficult to confirm or deny the death toll, said Rupert Colville, the UN human rights spokesman in Geneva. The Islamic Republic is called by

Colville asked the Islamic Republic to establish Internet access in areas where communication has been cut off as soon as possible. A human rights campaigner also announced the number of dead people as 23. On Monday, March 8, the protests began after troops and security forces opened fire on fuel protesters protesting the border crossing’s closure. Some were killed and wounded during the shooting in the Saravan border region on the Iranian-Pakistani border. This massacre is compared to the killings of November 2020 protests in a letter written to the UN High Commissioner for Human Rights by the Human Rights Defenders Association. In this letter, widespread poverty and unemployment in the region and the government’s discriminatory and deprivations policies are cited. UN High Commissioner for Human Rights was requested to address this issue immediately. One and a half million people in Sistan and Baluchestan are facing water shortages. According to the Mehr news agency, in some of these villages, only those who were not financially able to migrate to other areas stayed in the villages.
