A friend of the Prince of Wales warned that new criticism of the royal family in the Sussexes’ Netflix series is likely to have irreparably damaged Prince Harry’s relationship with his brother Prince William. As Prince Harry and Meghan Markle have been critical of the royal family since the pair stepped away from their duties in 2020, the two brothers are rumored to have a difficult relationship.
According to the Mirror, Prince William is reportedly upset about how Queen Elizabeth had to endure this criticism during her final months of life.
Prince Harry and Meghan Markle accuse the royals of having a “massive level of unconscious bias” in their frank Netflix documentary, which started airing this week. Meghan Markle claims that the media wants to “destroy” her.
Additionally, Prince Harry claimed that certain members of his family didn’t understand the “racial issue” and questioned why Meghan Markle needed additional media protection.
“All relationships are built on trust but for members of the Royal Family, who live their life in the spotlight, doubly so,” said a friend of the Prince of Wales, reported the Daily Mail.
“The prince is a very private man and what Harry is doing is the anathema of everything he believes. On that alone, many believe it is unlikely he will ever be able to repair his relationship with them. Too much water has gone under the bridge,” added the friend.
On Thursday, Prince William tweeted that he was thinking about a friend who had passed away in Kenya.
“Yesterday, I lost a friend, who dedicated his life to protecting wildlife in some of East Africa’s most renowned national parks. Mark Jenkins, and his son Peter, were tragically killed when flying over Tsavo National Park while conducting an aerial patrol,” he wrote.
