The Pop Sensation Billie Eilish!

Music is the new weapon that we women have, which provides us immense power to represent ourselves, our thoughts, and emotions in a unique way and it reaches audiences worldwide.

Billie Eilish is one of the most sensational celebs who had the power to shake the whole music industry with her voice. Billie Eilish Pirate Baird O’Connell is an American singer and songwriter. She first gained attention after the release of her song “Ocean Eyes” which was written and produced by her brother Finneas O’Connell who collaborates with her in her music concerts.

Today, at the age of 19 (born on December 18, 2001), she is the youngest and the second person to receive four main Grammy Awards
for Best New Artist, Record of the Year, Song of the Year, and Album of the year in the same year. In the same month, she was crowned 2019s Billboard Woman of the Year. Her song “Bad Guy” from the album “When We All Fall Asleep, Where Do We Go?”(2019), became her first number-one song on the Billboard Hot 100. She is the recipient of seven Grammy Awards, two American Music Awards, three MTV Video Music Awards, and one Brit Award. She won three Billboard Awards in October 2020 for Top Female Artist, Top New Artist, and Top Billboard 200. Time Magazine, in 2019, had placed her on their Inaugural Time 100, Next List. She was the youngest artist to top 1 billion streams on a project and the youngest female ever to have a number-one album in the UK. Eilish was also the youngest singer and first female artist to write and perform a James Bond theme song.

She wrote her first song at the age of 11 for songwriting classes conducted by her mother, who was a teacher. The song was about the zombie apocalypse and it was actually a collection of dialogues and lyrics of songs from the show “The Walking Dead” which enamored Billie. She also enjoyed recording background noises for crowd scenes of shows and movies. She performed at talent shows and joined the LA Children’s Chorus when she was 8.

In October 2020, Eilish announced a Livestream concert “Where Do We Go?” and then went on to financially help the crew members affected by the COVID-19 pandemic from the proceeds collected out of the concert. She once said that she chose to pursue music as a career path because of listening to the song “Runaway” By Aurora. She credited Rihanna for inspiring her sense of fashion and called her style a “defense mechanism”.She is grateful to Ariana Grande’s album “Thank U Next” which motivated her to continue making music.

Eilish being a vegetarian has been seen raising their voice against the use of milk, wool, and other animal products actively. She had also actively taken part in the Joe Biden Presidential Campaign and urged her fans to vote.

She has publicly acknowledged that she’s suffering from depression, Tourette Syndrome, and Synesthesia.

She was a part of Justin Beiber’s documentary- Seasons and she went ahead to release her own documentary titled “Billie Eilish: The World’s A Little Blurry”.
