World’s tallest Nataraja statue – New Delhi
The world’s tallest Nataraja statue has been installed in the Bharat Mandapam, a grand conference
venue built in the national capital of India. The world’s tallest Nataraja statue is considered to be 28
feet tall and weighs 18 tonnes. This statue is made of Ashtadhatu.
The statue was sent by road on Friday, August 25, 2023, from Swamimalai, a small town in Thanjavur
district of Tamil Nadu, which is known for its bronze statues. Nataraja is basically the form of Lord
Shiva, who is the symbol of Anand Tandava. This statue has been created by two artisan brothers
from Tamil Nadu.
Guests visiting Bharat Mandapam will see this statue as an important symbol of cosmic energy,
creativity and power.
