A green flag in a relationship is when one or both partners shows interest in taking the relationship to the next level. Some signs that a partner may be showing interest in moving forward include: –
1. When your partner compliments you.
This could be something as simple as saying “you look nice today” or “I love how you dress”, to something more meaningful like “I think you’re amazing and unique”. These types of compliments make you feel special and appreciated, which can build trust and intimacy in your relationship.
2. When your partner takes care of you.
This could involve doing things like cooking for you, taking the dog for a walk, or doing the laundry for you – anything that makes your day easier and lets them know they care about you. Showing that you appreciate being taken care of can help strengthen your relationship.
3. When your partner listens to you attentively.
This could mean really hearing what you have to say, not interrupting, and not judging – it can be really difficult to open up to someone and when someone is listening attentively it can feel really reassuring.
4. When your partner respect your opinions.
If your partner agrees with you 100% of the time, that’s a red flag. Instead, they should respect your opinion even if they don’t agree with it. This shows that they value your thoughts and understand where you’re coming from.
5. When your partner lets you vent (sometimes).
Sometimes we feel like we can’t express ourselves properly or find the words when we’re talking with our partners. But guess what, venting is simply letting out all of our steam in a safe and controlled environment. It’s important to remember that venting doesn’t mean that we’re wrong or that our partner is bad. It just means that we’re feeling emotions and have something that we need to get off of our chest.
Venting with your partner can be really helpful in resolving conflicts. When we communicate honestly and openly, we’re more likely to find solutions that work for both of us.
6. When your partner is your biggest cheerleader.
Is your partner as excited as you are when you receive an award at work? Do they brag to all their friends and family when you achieve a personal goal? Your partner cheers you on every step of the way. Because they are so proud of you, they celebrate your accomplishments as if they were their own.
7. When your partner treat others well, too.
They show same concern and consideration to everyone in their lives, including their family, friends, waiters, and even ex-partners. How they treat others in their lives reflects how they will eventually treat you once the two of you are more established in your relationship. No one is perfect all of the time, but in general, you want to be with someone who is consistent in trying to do the right thing by others.
