Saina Nehwal, the world no. 1 in badminton, has received sexual insults

On January 6, actor Siddharth made a crude, sexually insulting remark against star badminton player Saina Nehwal.

Saina took to Twitter to criticise the security breakdown in Punjab during Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s visit to Ferozepur. To which, Siddharth quote tweeted: “Subtle cock champion of the world… Thank God we have protectors of India. Shame on you #Rihanna.”

Saina Nehwal is a 31-year-old ace badminton player who has won 24 international titles in her 16-year-long career. She has a stupendous record of winning 440 matches out of 640 games she has played to date.

Actor Siddharth is known for being critical of the elected Government of India and Prime Minister Modi in particular.

What remains conspicuous is the use of derogatory language to ridicule an ace player for her opinions which the actor may not agree with.
