Iranian Filmmaker Killed By His Parents Over His Unmarried Status

Babak Khoramdin was a famous Iranian director cut in pieces by his father while his mother watched!

Two palms, shoulders, two arms, and two ankles of a man was found in the garbage bin of phase 3 of Ekbatan town in Tehran that brought officers to the crime scene.

Finding a mutilated body in a suitcase

During initial inspections, officers found fragments of a man’s body in a garbage bag inside a suitcase, and forensic experts discovered that several hours had passed since the crime. The Special Murder Investigator then ordered the body pieces to be transferred for forensic medicine studies. Forensic experts and an identification team identified the victim, cinema director Babak Khorramdin by examining the mutilated body and fingerprinting.

Identification of Babak Khorramdin’s murderer after 6 hours

Officers went to Babak Khorramdin’s family in the first phase of Ekbatan town. After finding traces of blood left in the bathroom, his parents confessed to the murder and dismemberment of their son’s body during the initial interrogations. Babak Khorramdin’s father said in his confession: “My son was a university professor, and due to the spread of Corona, he held his classes online, but he took girls home three days a week on the pretext that they were students and had sex with them and we had to serve him!

After finding traces of blood left in the bathroom, his parents confessed to the murder and dismemberment of their son’s body during the initial interrogations.

He added: “My son has been harassing us since he was a child, and we did not have a relaxing day until we decided to kill him, and now we are calm after the murder. Thank God for this happening! The father continued that My son did not get along with his mother and me. Once, he even tried to hit his mother on the head with a chair! Akbar, 81, continued, I told my son that I was ready to sell my car and give his inheritance from the house to rent a home for himself and so on. But he refused to leave home.

He added that I threatened Babak that if he does not abandon home, I will pay someone 10 million Tomans to make him disappear, and Babak claimed that I am Babak and no one can do anything against me.

Regarding the detail of the murder, Akbar said that Babak’s mother told us to kill him, and I accepted. My wife came to my room and said that she had put sleeping pills in the dish. I have been vigilant since then to carry out the plan! My wife witnessed the murder scene. Having committed the murderer, with the help of my wife, I took the body into the bathroom and started cutting Babak’s body into pieces with a knife because I could not take the body out of the house. I packed the body parts in 8 garbage bags, and six packages were in 3 suitcases, and the other two packages were in the same garbage bags. It took about 7 hours to dismember and pack my son’s body, and then my wife and I put the packages in the elevator and went to the parking lot together.

Babak Khorramdin’s father was asked whether he has a guilty conscience and regrets or not: he said that he has no regrets and thanks to God, and since he killed his son, he has calmed down.

Iran, a 70-year-old Babak Khorramdin’s mother, said in front of the investigator that Babak was harassing her and did not have a comfortable day with him. He invited his friends, who were all women, to our house and forced me to serve them, and we even told him to get married and leave the house, but he did not accept, so my husband and I decided to kill him. She added I put the pills in his food, and Babak fainted the day he ate his food. Then I went to the room when I suddenly heard the sound of a fight between him and his father. When I came out of the room, I saw that they went into a battle and my husband stabbed him.

Babak Khorramdin’s mother said, “I assisted my husband in taking the body into the bathroom. The bathroom door was open, and I saw my husband tearing Babak’s body to pieces.

Later during interrogations, it was revealed that the father had also killed his daughter and his son-in-law in the same manner!  He had also raped his daughter since her early childhood. The dimension of this horrifying crime was kept secret by the government. The punishment for this massacre is ten years in prison for each murderer. According to Iran’s constitution, when a father or grandfather perpetrates a crime of killing their children or grandchildren, the punishment is ten years in prison, precisely like the sentence serving by Romina Ashrafi’s father.
